Practice Booster - Puzzle 02 -02-2018

Puzzle -1

In a drinking competition – M, N, O, P, Q and R are participating drinking different brands of water namely- Himalayan, Bisleri, Kinley, Kingfisher, Bailey and Aquafina but not necessarily in the same order. Each of them drinking different amount water viz. One gallon, Four gallons, Five gallons, Six gallons, Three gallons and Two gallons but not necessarily in the same order. These participants drinks water from different mediums viz. Bowl, Glass, Tap and Bottle and finished the competition in the top three positions only. They obtained these positions depending upon the time they took to drink that water. No two of them who used the same medium to drink got the same position. Only the person who drinks Himalayan uses Bowl and that person is P. Only the person who drinks Bailey finished the race at the 3rd position. The person who drinks Five gallons uses Glass to drink the water, but did not finish at the 3rd position. The persons who drinks Six gallons finished at the 1st position. M drinks kinley and uses tap. The person who drinks Bisleri finished the race at the 1st position but he is neither N nor Q. Among the given persons only two uses Glass, neither of them is N. The persons who drinks Bisleri, Himalayan and R finished at the same position. N finished at the 2nd position. The persons who drinks Three gallons finished the at the 2nd position, but that person is not N. The person who drinks One gallon drinks Aquafina, and uses the same medium as the person who drinks Kingfisher. The person who drinks four gallons drinks Himalayan brand of water. 

Puzzle -2

Ten persons viz. A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J belongs to the same family. There are three generations in the family. Each member lives in different cities viz. LA, BC, AZ, AC, DK, ML, GT, KP, CD and AB, but not necessarily in the same order. There are five males in the family. 
In the family each female member, except B and H, has two sisters and one unmarried brother. B has no sister-in-law. A do not live in BC. The grandson of J does not live in KP. No male member lives in GT, AB or BC. I is the father-in-law of F and lives in DK. G, who lives in ML, is son-in-law of B. The mother of C lives in BC. D, who lives in LA, is the unmarried sister of E, who does not live in GT. C is sister-in-law of F, but she does not live in DK, AB or BC. E is brother-in-law of G. The father of B is husband of H and he does not live in CD. The grandparents do not live in any city other than AZ and CD. C is a married sister of A. E does not live in ML. 

Puzzle -3

Eight friends A, B, D, P, F, C, E and G from different parts of the country are made to sit in 2 rows with 4 members in each row. A, C, E, G are facing south and sit in row 1. B, D, P and F are facing North and sit in row 2. They have graduated from different schools viz. L, K, H and Q. Two of them have graduated from each of these schools. No two persons who graduated from the same school sit in the same row. The person from south east does not sit at any of the ends. The person from row 1 who graduated from L sits on the immediate right of G. The persons from Northern and Southern part of the country are sitting at the ends of the same row. P sits diagonally opposite to the person who is from Northern part of the country. G is from the western part of the country. The person from row 2 who graduated from H, faces the immediate neighbor of the row 1, who graduated from L. P faces the immediate neighbor of C, who have not graduated from L. There is only 1 person sitting between the persons who graduated from K and the Q of both rows. The person of row 1 who graduated from Q faces the person of row 2 who graduated from L. B has not graduated from K. C sits on immediate left of G. D have not graduated from H and he does not sit at any ends of the row. The person of row 2 who graduated from K faces A. P is not an immediate neighbor of F. The person from North west faces the person from eastern part of the country. The person from East is sitting second to the right of F who is from south west. 

Puzzle -4

Seven farmers P, Q, R, S, T, U and V have sown various items in their fields i.e. Rice, Wheat, Gram, Pulses, Grapes, Mango and Pepper on a different months of the year from January to July and each of these farmers have a contract with different FMCG companies viz.- 24 mantra, Morarka organic, Itc, Reliance, Tata, Parle and Pepsico. The order of persons, crops, companies and months of the year are not necessarily in the same order. 
R sows Rice but not in February. V sows in January but neither Gram nor Pepper. U sows Grapes in May. The one who sows Rice has a contract with Tata. Q sows Pulses in March. Two people sows on the months between the months on which the one who has a contract with Tata sows and the one who has a contract with Parle sows. S, who has a contract with Parle does not sow either Rice or Gram and sows on the next month of the month on which T sows Mango. The one who has a contract with Reliance sows in the month just before the month in which R sows and three people sows between the months on which the one who has a contract with 24 mantra and the one who has a contract with Pepsico sows. The one who has a contract with Morarka organic sows just before the month on which the one who belongs to 24 mantra sows. The one who has a contract with Itc sows after the month on which the person who has a contract with 24 mantra sows.
